Xiaomi became the world's second-largest smartphone maker for the first time during the April-June 2021 quarter, pushing Apple to third place.

But now, for the first time, it has surpassed Samsung to become the number one player.

Yes, for the first time, Xiaomi has surpassed Samsung to become the world's number one company for at least a month.

Point Counter research company  reported  the syawmy in June 2021 has sold more smartphones from Apple and Samsung.

In June, the company sold 26% more smartphones than in May 2021, accounting for 17.1% of the global phone market.

Samsung and Apple were second and third with 15.7 percent and 14.3 percent, respectively.

The report hints that Xiaomi's lead could be temporary as a new epidemic of corona virus in Vietnam affected Samsung's phone production in June, reducing the number of phones available.

Samsung also reported in its second-quarter earnings report that production problems due to the lockdown in Vietnam were expected to return to normal soon.

According to the report, since US sanctions have affected sales of Huawei phones, Xiaomi has made aggressive efforts to fill the gap.

Xiaomi is replacing Huawei in China, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the report said.

These are the markets where Huawei phones used to sell a lot.

In fact, a few days ago, another company, Strategy Analytics, reported that Xiaomi was the company selling the most phones between April and June, with a market share of 25 percent.

Most of Xiaomi's phones are aimed at the low-income or middle class, but now the Chinese company wants to increase its stake in flagship phones, which are still dominated by Samsung and Apple.

Under the same strategy, Xiaomi introduced the May 11 Ultra smartphone in 2021, priced at 5,999 yuan, while its first foldable phone is priced at 9,999 yuan.
