You will love this new feature of WhatsApp

ADMIN November 17, 2021 0

Who can say that WhatsApp can be a helpful application for any person to keep an eye on your activities and know when you sleep, when you wake up and how much you sleep, and so on.

And no one needs to be a technology expert to know that.

In fact, the seemingly common feature of this app is its hidden weakness in keeping track of your activities and that is Last Scene Status.

But WhatsApp may soon introduce a feature to hide the last scene for specific contacts.

According to WhatsApp updates website WaBetaInfo , a screenshot of the new feature was shared by a Facebook-owned company.

This feature has been in the works for several months now and is finally live in the beta program.

This also means that users using the beta version will soon be able to use it and will be available to all users shortly thereafter.

But it will be a few days, a few weeks or months, it's hard to say right now.

But it is certain that in the near future all users will be able to choose their last scene status on WhatsApp from 4 categories.

WhatsApp currently offers 3 privacy options for Last Scene, Profile Foot and About, Every One, My Contacts and No Body.

But very soon you will be able to see the fourth option My contacts except.

When this fourth option is selected, you will be able to select these people at will and disable access to Last Scene for them.

This will allow you to prevent certain people from viewing the last scene, profile photo or personal info on WhatsApp.

But keep in mind that you will not be able to see the last scene status of the people for whom you will end this access.

Facebook and Instagram collect data on under 18 users

Facebook and Instagram collect data on people under the age of 18 with software that tracks users' web browsing activity.

This claim was made in a new study .

The company, which owns social media platforms, announced in July 2021 that it would allow advertising companies to target younger users based solely on age, gender and location.

But researchers say Facebook and Instagram are still using software called Conversion APIs, which collects details of young people's web browsing activities.

Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, has denied that the data was used for the company's algorithm-based advertising delivery system to deliver ads to users under the age of 18.

The study was conducted by experts from the environmental group Global Action Plan, Reset Australia and Fairplay.

In an open letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the 44 advocacy groups called for an end to the company's data-gathering practice as the details could be used for surveillance advertising.

The letter said that such a system does not lead to any improvement in children and, contrary to Facebook's claim, data on younger users is still being collected to determine which child might be interested in an ad. Is.

During the study, 3 fictitious Facebook accounts were created, one of which showed 13 years and the other 16 years.

With the help of these accounts, researchers were able to view the data collected by the company's software on Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.

Researchers have discovered that Facebook can collect data from other tabs and pages open in its browser and also collect various details, such as which buttons were clicked, without any reason to allow such data from the company. Gathering is justified, except for the advertising system.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for Meta said that this is incorrect because we have shown the data in our transparency tools, we have shown the data to advertisers and partner websites and apps to people under the age of 18. Not used for advertising.

The spokesperson said that the reason why these details are visible in our transparency tools is that the younger users visit the sites or apps that use our business tools.

Adding a few new features to Google Maps for the convenience of the people

Google has added new features to its popular service Maps to help you navigate shopping centers, airports and transit stations.

Google said in a blog that the dictionary feature in Maps is being expanded so that people can find their way to the larger buildings around them.

This will allow them to quickly see the shops inside the buildings or shopping malls or find other locations, including the location of airport lounges and parking lots.

Google Maps is also adding other relevant details such as working hours and ratings of centers.

Another feature area business has been added to the service which also includes Live Trends.

Google Maps seeks to facilitate the purchase of general bargaining chips and features retailers' status or order tracking feature.

According to Google, the feature is currently available for more than 2,000 store locations in 30 US states.

The company said that the price range of restaurants is also being increased in Maps to facilitate meals at reasonable prices outside the home.

Consumer contributions will be used for this feature while it will also be possible to know the restaurant review, outdoor seating availability, delivery options and other details.

Add screenshot taking and editing feature in Google Chrome

ADMIN November 16, 2021 0

Google

Screen shots are very helpful when there is an urgent need to share some details with people.

But often screenshots need to be edited before being shared with anyone, which is a waste of time.

That's why Google is adding a useful tool to the Chrome browser .

This tool will allow you to take and edit screenshots within the browser.

Tools have been available for months in the Chrome app on Android that help with taking and editing screenshots.

This feature is now being introduced in the desktop version of Chrome, which is currently part of the testing version of the browser.

According to the report, the tool will be able to add drawings, crops and text to the screenshots while the screenshots will also be saved in PNG images.

According to Google, this new feature will be available in Windows, Mac OS and Linux as well as Chrome OS.

Google, on the other hand, has announced that it will end support for older versions of Chrome by the end of November.

After the release of Chrome 96, support for Chrome 48 will be phased out and its scope will be gradually extended to other older versions.

Instagram

Instagram recently introduced short videos called feature releases to attract tick tock users.

Now 2 new features are being added for Instagram Reels which are already very popular in Tik Tak.

The photo-sharing app, owned by Meta (Facebook's new name), hopes that those who are reluctant to use Rails due to the unavailability of these features will be able to become part of the platform.

One of these features is text-to-speech feature that allows robotic voiceover for videos.

In this feature, when a user types text on his video, he will get the facility of an auto generated voice which will read the text aloud.
