TWITTER NEW FEATURE TRUSTED FRIENDS | CLOSE FRIENDS
The most recent tweets on the social networking site Twitter appear in front of all of a user's followers.
However, Twitter is now considering introducing new ways to share tweets with specific people.
The company is working on two concepts of new features in this regard which will ensure that users access the tweets only to specific people.
The first concept is to enable trusted friends so that some tweets are only visible to that group.
The idea is similar to the Instagram Stories' Close Friends feature, and Twitter designer Andrew Corter shared a photo.
The Twitter feature will have 2 audience groups, one Every One and the other Trusted Friends, one of which will be selected by tweeting.
The designer added that the second option could be the Trusted Friends tweets first timeline, which at the time would be a new alternative to the algorithm or the timelines for the latest tweets.
The designer introduced another new concept, which is about filtering replies, allowing users to choose specific words or phrases they don't want to see.
In doing so, if a user replies or mentions this person using these words or phrases, Twitter will say that these words are against that person's preference.
This feature indicates that an individual will not be prevented from using words but will have their access restricted.
It is similar to Twitter's offensive word-for-word feature, but it will go a step further by allowing each user to set their own 'limits'.
All these features are currently ideas and it is difficult to say anything about the introduction if they are not working formally yet.
But the company will definitely get feedback on these designs so that tools can be developed with this in mind in the future.
