| FACEBOOK ALSO LIMIT FORWARD MASSAGES IN ITS APP MESSENGER |
Following WhatsApp, Facebook has now limited the number of forwarded messages in Messenger to prevent rumors and misinformation from spreading.
It was
announced in March this year and has now been implemented.
Facebook
says that now a message can only be forwarded to 5 people or groups at a time.
According to
the company, the ban will help slow down the spread of harmful content and
misleading viral information.
In a blog
post, Facebook said, "We are introducing a message forward limit in
Messenger to prevent harmful content from spreading."
A similar
feature was introduced in the WhatsApp in April this year, under which users
cannot forward a message more than 5 times.
Some time
ago, Facebook reported that the number of forwarded messages in the world has
decreased by 70% due to the limited number of messages in the WhatsApp.
According to
the company, this new change in Messenger is very important at a time when the
corona virus epidemic continues around the world, while the United States, New
Zealand and other countries are also holding elections.
